Hi, I’m Whitney Pickett.
I’ve spent over 5 years teaching in elementary classrooms and leading art classes for kids. I genuinely believe creative learning is where children come alive. My goal is simple: make space for every child to try, mess up, look closer, and make something they’re proud of.
Where we paint
A bright, kid-sized studio with everything we need. Based in Centerton, AR — welcoming homeschool families from across Northwest Arkansas, including Bentonville, Bella Vista, Rogers, and Cave Springs.

What we’ll explore
Every term rotates through four big areas, with new projects each week so kids stay curious and stretched.
We are piloting a new curriculum crafted by local artist, Amber Michelle Studios - Created to Create Master Curriculum. The curriculum progressively develops color relationships, blending, texture, restraint, harmony, design thinking and final creative expression.
Watercolor, tempera, and acrylic. Mixing color, exploring brushwork, and learning to see like an artist.
Pencil, charcoal, and pastel. Observing the world and translating it onto the page with confidence.

Our pilot term follows the Created to Create curriculum — building from drawing foundations through color and blending, then design thinking and a final masterpiece.

How a class flows
Predictable rhythm, plenty of room to play.
Max 8 students per class. Every child gets real one-on-one time.
Grouped by age (6–8 and 9–11) for age-appropriate projects.
- 15 min — Warm-up sketch & story
- 75 min — Guided project & technique
- 20 min — Free-choice studio time
- 10 min — Show & tell, clean up
